Stats guide

Elden Ring Weapon Stats

The database focuses on practical comparison fields: base attack power, scaling grades, attribute requirements, weight, skills, passive effects, upgrade type and pickup location. It is built for quick filtering first, with enough stat context to understand what each column means.

Values here are base weapon stats, not a full attack-rating simulation. Upgrade level, affinity, buffs and your exact attributes belong in the weapon calculator.

Attack Power

Physical, magic, fire, lightning and holy columns show base damage types. Critical is listed separately when present because it affects backstabs, ripostes and other critical hits rather than normal attack mix.

Attribute Scaling

Scaling grades run from S down to E. A higher grade means the weapon is more likely to reward investment in that attribute, but final damage also depends on upgrade level, affinity and the weapon's base values.

Attribute Requirements

STR, DEX, INT, FAI and ARC requirements show the minimum attributes needed to wield a weapon properly. Use the requirement caps to find weapons your current character can equip without leaving the weapon list.

Weapon Skills and Passive Effects

Skills and passive effects often decide between two weapons with similar damage. The table keeps them visible so status buildup, unique skills and special bonuses are not buried behind raw attack numbers.

Weight and Equip Load

Weight matters because weapons count toward light, medium and heavy equip load. A lighter weapon may fit a build better even when a heavier option has stronger base damage.

Upgrade Type

Smithing Stone and Somber Stone weapons follow different upgrade paths. Upgrade type helps separate normal affinity weapons from unique somber weapons when you are comparing options.

Base Game and Shadow of the Erdtree Weapons

Keep all content in one table, or narrow the database to base game and DLC weapons with the content filter. This keeps Moonveil, Claymore and Uchigatana searchable beside newer Shadow of the Erdtree weapon classes such as backhand blades, perfume bottles and great katanas.

Track Your Weapon Collection

Check off collected weapons as you browse. Tarnished Forge saves progress in this browser, so weapon collection can share the same completion state across checklist and map views.

FAQ

How many Elden Ring weapons are in this database?+

The database includes base game and Shadow of the Erdtree weapons. The visible total uses the same weapon list as the filters and collection tracker.

Can I filter weapons by scaling?+

Yes. Use the STR, DEX, INT, FAI and ARC filters with an optional minimum scaling grade to find weapons that match your build direction.

Does this page include Shadow of the Erdtree weapons?+

Yes. Use the content filter to switch between all weapons, base game weapons and Shadow of the Erdtree weapons.

Can I track which weapons I have collected?+

Yes. Mark weapons as collected from the table or weapon cards. Progress is saved in your browser and shared with other Tarnished Forge progress views.

Is this the weapon calculator?+

No. This page is the weapon database for browsing stats, requirements, locations and collection status. Use the Weapon Calculator for upgrade level, affinity and build-specific attack rating comparisons.

Are shields included as weapons?+

Yes. Shields are included in the weapon database because they share weapon-style stats such as weight, requirements, scaling, skills and upgrade type. Use the weapon type filter to show only shields.

Why do some weapons have short or missing location details?+

Some entries show a broad region, drop type or partial pickup note instead of an exact spot. Those entries will become more specific as exact pickup details are added.

What is the best Elden Ring weapon type?+

There is no single best type for every build. Katanas, greatswords, colossal weapons, spears, staffs, seals, bows and shields solve different problems. Use scaling, requirements, damage type and weight filters to narrow the list to your character.
