Great-Jar's Arsenal can make 72.4 weight fit Medium without raising Endurance into the high 40s.
If a build lands exactly on a threshold, it belongs to the heavier tier. 30.0% is Medium Load, not Light; 70.0% is Heavy Load, not Medium. When you are tuning armor pieces, leave at least a little margin below the breakpoint.
Roll category is a percentage, not a fixed weight. The same 55.0 equipment weight can be Heavy on one character and Medium on another if their maximum equip load differs.
Under 30%. Rolls travel farther while keeping the same basic dodge timing as Medium, useful for low-weight builds and challenge runs.
30% to under 70%. The common target for most builds because it avoids heavy-roll recovery without forcing very light armor.
70% to 100%. The roll has much longer recovery, leaves you easier to punish, and is the category players often call fat roll.
Over 100%. You cannot roll or backstep, so the build needs more maximum load, less gear weight, or both.
The most useful reverse calculation is simple: enter the gear weight you want to wear, choose Light or Medium Roll, and the calculator finds the lowest Endurance that can support it.
Required Endurance is based on the in-game Endurance max equip load table from 1 to 99. Talismans are applied after the base Endurance value, so Great-Jar's Arsenal and Erdtree's Favor can reduce how many attribute points you need.
If the calculator says a roll is out of reach, the equipment weight is too high for that roll even at 99 Endurance with your chosen talismans. Lower weight, choose Medium instead of Light, or add a stronger load bonus.
Endurance has equip load soft caps. The gains are strong in the early game, slow around the mid-20s, improve again on the path to 60, then become smaller from 61 to 99. That is why a talisman can sometimes save more levels than one or two extra Endurance points.
This calculator includes the two direct equip load talisman groups: Arsenal and Erdtree's Favor. You can choose one from each group.

Bonuses are applied to maximum equip load, not to the weight of your armor. Temporary buffs such as Winged Crystal Tear are left out of the main calculator because most players plan their permanent roll weight first.
The calculation starts with the percentage of your maximum equip load currently occupied by equipped gear.
Current equipment weight ÷ maximum equip load × 100
Example: 54.8 weight divided by 82.1 max equip load is 66.7%, which is Medium Load.
Endurance max load × Arsenal bonus × Erdtree's Favor bonus
The calculator uses the in-game equip load thresholds and the Endurance maximum equip load table, then rounds the final maximum equip load to one decimal place for display. This matches how players usually read weight values in-game, but the breakpoint rules still decide the roll tier.
For Medium Roll, divide your equipment weight by 0.7. Your maximum equip load must be greater than the result.
A 70.0 equipment weight build needs more than 100.0 maximum equip load for Medium Roll. Exactly 100.0 max load would put that build at 70%, which is Heavy Load.
For Light Roll, divide your equipment weight by 0.3. Light builds usually need low equipment weight, high Endurance, talismans, or all three.
A 30.0 equipment weight build needs more than 100.0 maximum equip load to stay Light, because Light Load must remain under 30%.

Medium Load is an equip load percentage of 30% or more and under 70% of your maximum equip load. At 70% you move into Heavy Load, often called fat rolling.
Divide your equipment weight by 0.7. Your maximum equip load must be greater than that result, because Medium Load requires being under 70%, not equal to it.
Divide your equipment weight by 0.3. Your maximum equip load must be greater than that result to stay under the Light Load threshold.
