Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") form an agreement between you and the operators of Tarnished Forge regarding your access to and use of https://tarnishedforge.com and related pages, tools and content (collectively, the "Site").

If you use the Site on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" includes that organization.

Elden Ring, Shadow of the Erdtree, related names, imagery and in-game materials are trademarks or copyrighted works of their respective owners. Site branding, layout, original writing, calculator logic and non-game-owned compilation choices are provided by Tarnished Forge under these Terms.

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Site for personal, non-commercial game reference and planning, subject to these Terms.

You may not, without prior written permission:

• Scrape, bulk-download or systematically harvest the Site in a way that degrades service or bypasses technical limits.
• Republish substantial original Site writing or tool output as your own commercial product.
• Misrepresent the Site as an official FromSoftware or Bandai Namco service.
• Attempt to break, overload, or reverse engineer the Site except to the extent mandatory law allows.
• Use the Site to distribute malware, spam or unlawful content.
• Frame the Site in a deceptive way or remove notices that identify Tarnished Forge as the source of original materials.

Automated access for ordinary public search indexing is allowed when it respects robots directives and reasonable crawl rates. Pages marked noindex should not be treated as targets for promotional reproduction.

The Site does not require an account for core features. Progress checklists and some calculator state may be stored in your browser. You are responsible for exporting backups if you want to keep that state, and for controlling who can use your device or browser profile.

We do not guarantee that local storage will persist forever, sync across devices, or survive browser upgrades, storage eviction or cleared site data.

Elden Ring patches, DLC and platform differences can change stats, locations, quest outcomes and balance. Tarnished Forge aims for practical accuracy and prefers empty fields over invented numbers, but the Site is still a fan reference.

• Database values, map markers and calculator outputs may be incomplete, outdated or wrong.
• Guides describe common routes and build ideas; they are not the only valid way to play.
• In-game behavior always controls over anything written on the Site.
• You use calculators and recommended levels at your own risk — they are planning aids, not warranties of performance in PvE or PvP.

If you find an error, email support@tarnishedforge.com with the page URL and details. We may fix issues on a best-effort basis without promising a timeline.

When you use the Site or contact support, you agree not to:

• Violate applicable law or third-party rights.
• Harass Site operators or other players through support channels.
• Submit content you do not have the right to send.
• Impersonate another person or entity.
• Probe the Site for vulnerabilities outside of coordinated, good-faith reports.

Except for game-owned materials and other third-party rights, the Site's original compilation, documentation structure, interface design, and original text are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of FromSoftware or Bandai Namco assets to you or to us.

Rights holders who believe material on the Site infringes their rights may contact support@tarnishedforge.com with a specific URL, a description of the work, and a statement of the good-faith basis for the claim. We will review complete notices and may remove or modify material where appropriate.

The Site may link to wikis, stores, map sources, videos or other external resources. We do not control those properties and are not responsible for their content, availability, or policies. Following an external link is at your own risk.

THE SITE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that defects will be corrected. Game planning tools may produce results that differ from in-game outcomes.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TARNISHED FORGE AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US SPECIFICALLY TO USE THE SITE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (WHICH IS TYPICALLY ZERO BECAUSE THE SITE IS FREE) OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US $50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those places, the limits apply to the fullest extent allowed.

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Site operators from and against claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right, to the extent permitted by law.

We may change features, data, design or these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date shows the latest revision of this page. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.

We may suspend, limit or stop offering all or part of the Site, including for maintenance, abuse prevention or legal reasons, without liability to you beyond what mandatory law requires.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the operators' primary place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country say otherwise. Courts in that venue may hear disputes, without limiting any non-waivable rights you have as a consumer.

• If a provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
• Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
• These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site, and supersede prior understandings on the same subject.
• Privacy practices are described separately in the Privacy Policy.
