About Tarnished Forge

Tarnished Forge is an unofficial Elden Ring hub: database pages, free calculators, an interactive map, walkthrough routes and a browser-local progress tracker for the Lands Between and Shadow of the Erdtree.

What Tarnished Forge is

Tarnished Forge exists for players who bounce between a map tab, a weapon list, a build planner and a half-finished checklist. Instead of scattering those jobs across five bookmarks, the site keeps them under one roof with shared language, shared navigation and — where it matters — shared local progress.

We cover both the base game and Shadow of the Erdtree. Some tools are finished end to end; others still grow route by route. Incomplete pages stay labeled by what they can already do, rather than pretending every corner of the Lands Between is done.

Unofficial fan site

Tarnished Forge is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to FromSoftware, Bandai Namco, or any related rights holders. Elden Ring and Shadow of the Erdtree are trademarks of their respective owners. All game content referenced here belongs to those owners.

What you can do here

The product is organized around five jobs players actually open a browser tab for. Each area can stand alone; together they cover a full playthrough and cleanup cycle.

Interactive map

Browse the Lands Between and Shadow of the Erdtree with markers for bosses, Sites of Grace, weapons, and other landmarks.

Item databases

Look up weapons, armor, talismans, sorceries, incantations, bosses and quests with filters that match how players actually search.

Calculators

Plan builds, weapon attack rating, level rune costs, damage estimates, equip load and armor combinations without spreadsheet work.

Guides and walkthrough

Follow progression order, beginner advice, boss routes and completion checklists when you want a path instead of a raw list.

Progress tracker

Mark bosses, gear, spells, quests and achievements done. Progress stays in this browser so you can pick up later without an account.

How the data works

Game facts on Tarnished Forge come from static JSON snapshots kept in the project. Pages read those snapshots at build or request time — there is no live scrape of third-party wikis when you open a weapon or boss page. That keeps loads predictable and makes it obvious when a field is still empty.

  • Weapons, armor, bosses, spells and similar records live under structured data files rather than free-form article text alone.
  • Calculators use the same stat shapes players see on database pages, so AR, weight and requirements stay consistent across tools.
  • Guide pages add route context, comparisons and FAQs on top of the records — they do not replace missing numbers with guesses.
  • When two sources disagree, we leave the contested field blank or mark it partial until it can be checked against the game.

Progress is separate from game data. Checklist ticks, some calculator drafts and related tracker state use browser storage on your device. Clearing site data, switching browsers or using private mode starts a fresh tracker unless you export a backup from the checklist tools.

How we build the site

Practical over encyclopedic padding

Pages exist to answer a real player question: where is it, what does it scale with, what should I do next, or what am I still missing.

Empty beats invented

If a location, effect or number is not verified in our data, the field stays empty or partial. We do not invent game stats to look complete.

Local-first privacy

Checklist and calculator progress save in your browser. There is no account wall and no cloud save required to use the core tools.

Clear product boundaries

The home page is a hub. Deep keywords stay on the pages that own them — map, weapons, calculators, walkthrough — instead of competing with every route.

Who it is for

New Tarnished can start with the beginner guide, early weapon filters and a light checklist. Returning players usually want boss cleanup, missing legendary collections, DLC map markers or a build that fits a hard level cap. Theory-crafters bounce between weapon AR, equip load and armor optimizer until the weight and damage numbers line up.

The site is free to use. You do not need an account to open the map, run a calculator or mark progress. If something is wrong, incomplete or confusing, the contact page is the shortest path back to us.

Corrections and requests

Elden Ring data drifts: patches change numbers, DLC adds rows, and location notes get sharper over time. If you spot a bad stat, a missing marker, a calculator edge case or a guide step that no longer matches the live game, tell us.

  • Email support@tarnishedforge.com with the page URL and what looks wrong.
  • Include the weapon, boss, region or calculator inputs when you can — exact reproduction saves a full hunt.
