Scope

What This Build Calculator Supports

This page is a character planner first: fast enough to tune a build while staying honest about which specialized calculations belong on separate tools.

Calculated here

  • Required level from your starting class and target attributes
  • Best starting class ranking for the same final stat spread
  • HP, FP, stamina, discovery and memory slots
  • Current weight, maximum equip load, load percentage and load tier
  • Armor poise, defenses and resistances from selected pieces
  • Weapon stat requirements and base attack rating summary
  • Browser saves, duplicate builds, import/export and share links
  • Base Game and Shadow of the Erdtree content filtering

Kept out on purpose

  • Exact damage after buffs, enemy defenses and negation
  • Weapon rankings across every upgrade level, affinity and stat spread
  • Spell damage and casting tool optimization
  • Rune cost or level cost tables
  • Automatic best-in-slot armor combination search

For those jobs, use the focused calculators below. This page stays fast while you tune the character itself.

Accuracy

Data and Formula Notes

Calculations use Tarnished Forge’s Elden Ring item data. Some character stats are estimates for planning and may be adjusted as more in-game formula data is verified.

No invented bonuses

Empty item fields stay empty. Talisman and spell effects appear on the build sheet, but their bonuses are only applied when verified numbers are available.

Planner estimates

HP, FP, stamina and equip load are calculated from attribute breakpoints for planning and may be adjusted as more in-game formula data is verified.

One build URL

Use this page for character planning; use the related calculators for focused weapon, damage, rune, load or armor searches.

Stats

Elden Ring Stat Calculator

Your character stats update automatically as you change attributes, equipment and effects in the build planner. Use this area as a live stat calculator for HP, FP, stamina, equip load, poise, defenses and resistances.

Example: planning a Level 150 build

For a Dexterity/Faith character, set the target level to 150, enter final attributes like VIG 60, DEX 40 and FAI 25, then compare the Required Level against the Starting Class Optimizer. Equip weapons and armor until the right-side stats stay inside your intended load tier.

Need detailed load thresholds only? Use the dedicated Equip Load Calculator. Need weapon upgrade or affinity comparisons? Use the Weapon Calculator.

DLC

Build Calculator for Shadow of the Erdtree

Switch Content to Shadow of the Erdtree to focus the weapon, armor, talisman and spell lists on DLC gear while keeping the same character planner URL.

How to Use the Elden Ring Build Calculator

Step 1

Pick a starting class

Start from Vagabond, Samurai, Prophet or any other class. This sets the base level and base attributes used for Required Level.

Step 2

Enter target attributes

Set VIG, MIND, END, STR, DEX, INT, FAI and ARC for the final build. The planner can be used even if the current level is lower than the required level.

Step 3

Equip gear and save

Add weapons, armor, talismans and spells, then save locally or create a share URL for the exact build state.

Build Calculator keeps the character planner on one URL. Use these focused tools for deeper calculations.

FAQ

What is the best Elden Ring build calculator?

A useful build calculator should combine class choice, final attributes, equipment, derived stats, local saves and shareable builds on one page.

How do I plan an Elden Ring build?

Choose a starting class, set target attributes, check the required level, equip weapons and armor, then adjust until the build fits your target level and load tier.

How do I choose the best starting class?

Use the Starting Class Optimizer. It ranks classes by the lowest required level for your target attributes.

Is this build calculator exact?

It uses verified item values where available, such as armor weight, poise, defenses, resistances and weapon requirements. Some character stats are estimates for planning and may be adjusted as more in-game formula data is verified.

Why is weapon damage limited here?

This page shows the selected weapon's base attack values and whether your attributes meet its requirements. For full upgrade-level, affinity and stat-scaling comparisons, use the dedicated Weapon Calculator.

Does this replace the Equip Load Calculator?

No. This page shows your current weight, max equip load, load percentage and load tier for the build. Detailed load-only workflows belong on the Equip Load Calculator page.

Does the build calculator include Shadow of the Erdtree?

Yes. The content filter can show All, Base Game or Shadow of the Erdtree items and spells.

Can I add weapons, armor and talismans?

Yes. The planner supports right-hand and left-hand weapon slots, four armor slots and four talisman slots.

Can I save and share my build?

Yes. Builds save in this browser, and Share creates a URL for the current build.
